We spent the last handful of days at my parents' house celebrating Christmas. Everyone made it back except my brother who remained in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. It was a fun time which included lots of eating, a ping-pong tournament, some mean card games, gift opening, and a lot of hanging out. Oh yeah...it also included LOTS of snow! It snowed basically nonstop from Thursday morning through Saturday morning. Combine that with 40 mph winds on the open plains and you get snowed in pretty quickly. Drifts were as high as 7-8 feet in some areas. Since my parents live on a country road, we couldn't leave until the road got cleared. That happened yesterday afternoon and we were able to head out. The drive was a bit slow going on the way home, but we made it safe and sound, and now we are busy doing laundry and packing to head out in the morning to visit T's parents in San Antonio. Warmer weather here we come!
