oh, how exciting! no gardening for me this year :( will be gone all of may, maybe more. :(
tried your recipe for those bars...yummo! i used mostly oats and a little Rice Crispies b/c that's all I had on hand.
i only had 1/4 c p.b. so i used some tahini (not a ton, b/c it's bitter, couldn't even tell it was in there!). used agave and a little molasses. used your suggestion to cut sugar and you're right--1 c total was PLENTY. i can't imagine adding another whole cup like the original recipe said, just for 1 pan of bars!
added a ton of chopped nuts, ground flax. . . also did some coconut oil. . . i love recipes i can add whole grains and nuts to! definitely going to keep this recipe handy!
the kids and rick love them. so great to have in the fridge to add to school lunches!
I'm a recovering "good-girl" learning how to play. I yearn for the Gospel to impact my heart deeply that I might live a life of simplicity, presence, security, creativity, and compassion.

that's awesome, Carmen! it looks way better than the spinach from the grocery store that goes bad the instant you open the package!!
i totally agree with brooke on the strawberry/feta/almond/spinach salad...that's one of my favorites.
