Three Weeks

Hannah is three weeks old and growing so fast! I am going to try to take weekly pictures of her next to her stuffed bear (for size reference) so we can have a visual record of her growth and change over the next year. Here are the pics from week 2 and 3.

She is getting much stronger these days. She is holding her head up a lot and with increasing control. And the biggest deal today is that she woke up only once last night to eat! We couldn't believe it! She has been waking up two times a night since we brought her home, and that hasn't been bad, but it felt glorious to get up only one time last night. As of two nights ago, we have moved her to her crib to sleep. It is somewhat difficult to have her all the way across the house, but we are sleeping significantly better since we can't hear every little coo and squeal. We are also mastering the art of swaddling...she loves it. I think part of why she slept so well last night is because we wrapped her up nice and tight.

We love her sweet smiles. They still aren't intentional or in response to anything specific, but they melt our hearts none the less. They are sporadic and unpredictable, so it's difficult to capture them with the camera, but here is a half smile I was quick enough to get.
